TYPE:  Classified   STATUS: Non-Exempt   SALARY RANGE: ($15.15, 9-month position, Full Benefits Package)

WORK CALENDAR: 191 DAYS, 7 HRS PER DAY START DATE: January 2026

 

REPORTS TO: Food Service Manager and/or Food Service Director

 

DEFINITION: Under close supervision, assists with preparation and serving of meals in addition to the maintenance of the assigned cafeteria.

 

TASKS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment. Work requires frequent standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to moving kitchen equipment, cleaning solutions and chemicals.

 

QUALFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of food service experience preferred. Ability to possess a food handler's certification and other certificates as required. Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) required at the time of hiring.
