WORK CALENDAR: 261 DAYS, 8 hours per day   START DATE: JULY 2025

 

REPORTS TO: Federal Programs Director

 

DEFINITION: Under general supervision, provides assistance and support for Federal programs and state and District assessments, and maintains related data for Federal programs for Somerton School District No. 11.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

TASKS:

Performs a variety of administrative support activities; types and word processes documents; prepares a variety of letters, memos and bulletins using correct English spelling, grammar and punctuation; prepares requisitions for all programs; inventories and orders materials such as tests, manuals and office supplies; makes travel arrangements as necessary. 

 

Establishes and maintains record management system for Federal programs; researches, summarizes and analyzes information; calculates statistics and compiles data to prepare special and recurring reports containing specialized or sensitive information; collects assessment data; analyzes results and prepares appropriate reports for Federal programs and the District; collects and compiles data for auditors; monitors Federal programs and budgets; prepares Federal program reports as required. 

 

Coordinates and oversees assessment program materials for implementation at schools; prepares and delivers relevant information and materials to schools; organizes storage, distribution, implementation and collection of assessment material throughout the District; review for accuracy before shipping to be scored; designs and formats spreadsheets to ensure the capture of data for District and state requirements; and performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of Federal and state regulations governing IASA programs.

Knowledge of program budgeting techniques and methods. 

Knowledge of data collection and analysis principles and practices.

Knowledge of administrative support and record-keeping techniques.

Knowledge of standard office practices, principles and methods.

Skill in compiling data and analyzing results.

Skill in preparing detailed reports.

Skill in the use of a personal computer and related software.

Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Skill in verbal and written communication.

Skill in following oral and written instructions. 

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an indoor environment. Work requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion and vision to monitor.

 

QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent, and three (3) years administrative support experience. Must possess an Arizona driver license. Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) required at the time of hiring.
